Critique as received from the Judge:

The Northern Bullmastiff Club Championship Show 22nd August 2021

Held in conjunction with Blackpool championship Show. I would firstly like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge and also to my stewards for their efficiency and assistance on the day. Overall there was more depth of quality in the bitches with open bitch being the class of the day. Temperaments were excellent but it is very frustrating when exhibits are shown overweight or under conditioned as this not only affects the movement but also the top line .A pleasing entry with some quality exhibits thank you I really enjoyed my day.

Veteran Dog (5)

1. 1st Subdabish Gok Wan 10 year old compact fawn who really enjoyed his day, square head proportions with a dark expressive eye, balanced angulations and correct tail set, an impressive mover covering the ground with ease ,credit to his owner for keeping him in such fantastic condition
2. 2ND Valgerd Going Underground At CopperfieldAnother gorgeous veteran shown in excellent condition and all of the above apply to him but just not moving as well as one today.

Minor Puppy Dog (3)

1. 1st Emsuart RocketmanWell-made 6 month old Fawn who has pleasing bone and body for his age. I liked his head shape and proportions; has a dark eyes and good mouth, true and well boned in front and a nicely developed body. Very promising youngster. Moved the best of this class.
2. 2nd Alonzobar Mayweather 6 month old red with correct black mask and dark eye , good in type with a typical head and expression ,short in back but just preferred the top line on one at this stage of development, moved covering the ground with a steady stride enjoying his day

1. 1st Cane Guardiano Yuri-Kay ArdhubAn eye catching exuberant young male with the most typical head type and expression, broad muzzle with an excellent bite. Good strong arched neck leading into well-placed shoulders, correct straight front and a good depth of chest. Good top line which he retained on the move. A powerful mover who covered the ground easily with drive and reach. In the challenge he just had that extra showmanship and style I was pleased to award him the CC & RBIS
2. 2nd Hyerdunscar Renaissance For Bullenca10 month old masculine fawn with plenty of bone and substance, square skull and muzzle with a dark expressive eye, nicely proportioned body, he gave his handler a hard time today but moved out well with a steady stride was unlucky to meet one on the day

1. 1st Sundabish Candy Crush8 ½ year old fawn who has the required square body proportions ,correct top line and tail ,Another fabulous veteran who really came alive on the move , moving out freely and soundly, Unlucky to be beaten by her kennel mate today for best veteran

I liked her head shape and proportions; she has dark eyes and plenty of character in her head which presents a very attractive expression. True and well boned in front with good width across the chest and a nicely developed body. Very promising youngster.BPB
2. 2nd Ardhub Devil May CareWell grown correctly marked brindle who shares many of the merits of 1st. Pleasing head both in shape and size. Well boned with substance of body; desirable spring and depth of chest, more mature than one but just standing a little straighter behind at the moment. Free and steady mover a close decision.

2. 2nd Constantine Luiz At Sundabish Well grown fawn who has plenty of bone and pleasing body development. Masculine head which is of reasonable shape, a powerful mover I just preferred the outline of one

Handsome head shape both viewed front on and in side profile and his expression is enhanced by his breed features and dark eyes. Just lost out on top honours a close decision I was pleased to award him the res CC
2. 2nd Araucaria Sambucuc Nigera (AI)The most striking true red rarely seen today he catches you eye immediately, pleasing size, proportions and substance. Good sized masculine head of correct shape and having dark well shaped eyes, moved out steady and soundly just not the enthusiasm of one today

1. 1st Ardhub All in Black At Brynfaw3 year old brindle with an enchanting expression ,square, well balanced head, excellent bite strong neck and shoulders, straight front and tight feet, deep rib and strong thigh’s, shown in good condition he moved with ease considered for the CC but just lost out to the younger males who had that extra showmanship but a close decision
2. 2nd Ch Stoneglad Jumpin Jack Flash At Verosa JW ShCM ShCExMature masculine 4 year old red who has size and substance in abundance. Square skull and muzzle proportions with a correct level bite, Straight parallel front with good body proportions, he is well muscled a strong sound mover .

2. 2nd Safety Of The Flatland You Are My Destiny At Verosa (IMP HUN )I really liked her outline and balance, excellent topline, tail set and angulation just at present needs time to fill and develop into her frame . She moved as you would expect with her construction free and easy retaining her shape and top line.

2. 2nd Islekeepers This Is MeHeavier more substantial fawn who was a bit unsettled today, different type to one but pleasing head and expression , dark eye and correct pigmentation , moved out soundly just not the extension of one

2. 2nd Cane Guardiano Weenie Beenie Ardhub Powerful imposing red who catches your eye , good overall head shape with correct pigmentation ,strong arched neck that flowed into well angulated shoulders , level top line and correct tail set , moved out soundly
