Club Shows

The Northern Bullmastiff Club holds 2 breed shows a year an Open show and a Championship show.

February

The February show is an Open show and is usually held on the same day as the club members Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM will commence after the completion of the Open show judging and all members are invited to attend.

November

The November show is our Championship show, the last breed club show of the year, and one of the last chances for exhibitors of the breed to qualify for Crufts which is held in March of the following year.

I have owned Bullmastiffs for over 40 years and during that time I have been lucky to have been associated with the famous Oldwell Kennel.
I have been fortunate to have judged Specialties all over the world, including the American Bullmastiff Association Specialty, Crufts, Australian Specialties and most countries in Western Europe. I have also judged several times in Russia and Eastern Europe.
I have been associated with a number of Clubs over the years and was Chairman of the BBL for a number of years. In addition to this, I have been Chairman of the Bullmastiff Breed Council for well over 10 years.
As part of my qualification to judge CCs in Bullmastiffs, I was privileged to have judged the Northern Open Show many years ago, so it is a real honour to return again in a Championship Show capacity. I remember the birth of this Club and the work put in by Tom and Dot Massey to establish it. I am sure they both look on with pride to how the Club has developed.
